I've been staring at the artist's recent works and especially this image and its child image, and I'm reasonably sure they are using AI and fixing the image up after. it's especially apparent in the smaller details or anytime there's supposed to be any symmetry. but the reason for it is boggling because if you look at their media tab, there's a history of (supposed) proper art training using anatomical studies and especially in shading and lighting theory which does not at all match the output of these images. it's one thing to depart from the norm when drawing realism versus anime styles, but to forego the basics like which direction the light source is? I don't buy that this is all hand-drawn.
I hesitate to tag only because I cannot find any disclosure on their X account that states as such, and they do post "rough sketches" but those could be drawn using the final product as reference using the aforementioned real knowledge to fake the process. no layers are shown, no timelapse or speedpaint. and if it's true, there's so much untagged work already uploaded, is it even work investigating? (they've also drawn for NFT projects before, and well those two crowds are never far apart.)
