Medea - Until Death Do Us Part
Thank you Tanaka Atsuko for bringing her to life with a very memorable voice.
Medea was one of my first fanarts way back in 2020 so i'm a bit sentimental this time.
When I was first looking for inspiration learning to draw digitally, I remembered there was this pretty purple haired witch from Fate Stay Night who was always one of my favorite characters.
She was as tragic and flawed as in her original Greek myth, but made very human in the way Fate does. Even though she was a villain, there was something still relatable about her trying to find a second chance for love and happiness as a servant in the Grail War. It was sweet seeing her love for Souichirou and her fun portrayal in Carnival Phantasm as a Saber fan who was just enjoying her hobbies making the most of her new peaceful life.
It's this mix of cool, pretty, fun and complex portrayal of old mythology characters i read about, that keeps me coming back and getting inspiration from the Fate franchise. And 4 years ago with how bad my drawing skill was and how the world was, i really needed a lot of inspiration. I hope this time around I'm able to do Medea and Fate a little more justice.
