While it would almost be silly if it happens, I honestly want Sunny and Luna to win just so Cirno and Wriggle will have a decent fight ahead of themselves with familiar faces.
Reimu likely knows these fairies better than anyone else. If she's actually willing to warn Mima of them, that hopefully means they may actually have a good fight ahead.

The brackets and plot aren't set up that way. For starters, Cirno/Wriggle are up against Tenshi/Mystia next. Secondly, Meiling/Patchy are most likely wearing plot armor and they'll need a threat for Round 3, which Cirno/Wriggle are unlikely to provide (and face it, those two moreorless got lucky against Satori/Daiyousei).
Long story short, Tenshi/Mystia are gonna steamroll them.

I wonder if Mima even knows what spell cards are. And even if she did, would she even use them? After all, Reimu came up with spell card rules, and Mima hates the Hakurei family, so I doubt that she would play by their rules.
Possible outcome that I can see: 1. "Let's start the figh...*TRIPLE SPARK*" 2. "We give up please don't kill us" 3. MimaYuuka fight each other 4. WHAT? outcome
If I may make a prediction, I think that the first part of the fight will consist of Mima & Yuuka ineffectively trying to blast the fairies with super hueg laser spellcard beams (redirection of light and all that). The fairies will put up a good fight and go for a guerilla/outlasting strategy. If the fairies are especially creative in the use of their powers, they might even be able to create pockets of silent (and CAMOUFLAGED) lasers formed from their opponents' attacks that they can unleash at will.
Then the fight will abruptly end when Yuuka decides to flex her muscles. And maybe Mima does some crazy Omega-beam twisting & turning lasers and other unseen magic spells. You can't redirect a huge fireball with light-based stuff, after all.
Luna and Sunny got a badass vibe going, I can actually see them putting up a decent fight, might win if Yuuka goes all tsundere like she does for Cirno in a few series latly.

That depends on how violent canon Yuuka chooses to get.
Fairies' only hope is to go around stealthily, and hope for light based attacks to redirect. If they don't do that, Yuuka rips them apart before they could say "ouch". But I honestly doubt, that THAT duo would actually have suck a small output of offensive strength, that both their attacks would be redirected... Unless they actually turn it againts each other from the beginning...
I hope the audience likes massacres. Mima and Yuuka have destroyed countless creatures and taken on Goddesses, what chance do you think two meddling fairies will have?

This is going to come down to how far the fairies can use their powers. Sunny Milk can manipulate light. In theory, she could very well stop a person's eyes from recieving light, making them unable to see. Luna can control sounds, possibly sound waves as well. With this, she can make her and sunny not make sounds, AS WELL AS create new sounds to throw off yuuka and mima, even use sounds to dissoriant their minds (you ever listen to a song that had just wierd sounds appearing at different intervals from either right or left speaker? it can give you a headache if you listen to it too long)
under the right conditions and depending on how far the author will go with their powers, I can believe that they come out the winners.
However, yuuka and mima have amazing destructive force. one hit from them would be more then enough to kill a fairy.

Yuka and Mima are too dangerous to even consider that, collateral damage from those two fighting each other'd take the fairies out anyway.

The fey can be quite unsettling in some mythologies.
If Luna & Sunny were those kind of fairies, they'd likely prank some guy by blinding him at random and whispering barely perceptible Cthulu-fthagn-fthagn things while he slept at night just to see him go insane.
Who knows? Maybe this coming round will reveal why it's a bad idea to seriously piss off fairies, even in Gensokyo.
thoughts/opinions/etc: - if Mima uses Orreries Sun (like Marisa's Orreries Solar System in IaMP) or MIMACHARGE (as in.. SoEW), it would be awesome :D - I don't expect Yuka to use her PC-98 stuff here, if her team's going to win this match - Mima may be overconfident and boastful, while canon Yuka is polite, when she's not fighting.. - I wonder if the two fairies will use combination attacks, and hopefully show improvements from GFW - lastly, if Mima ever gets endangered, she may become a Determinator, seeing how (when/if she wins against Marisa in PoDD) she scolds Marisa for not training hard enough - finally, I hope this fight gets more entertaining than Yugi+Komachi's (though I expect Komachi to show more of herself on the next match, no matter if she ends winning or not)
This match is going to be lol. Luna, Sunny, and Yuuka are among my favorites.
