Hiya, this is the original artist, Nico. I uploaded some of my recent work that I'm more proud of on here, because other people were already uploading my old illustrations onto Danbooru for years, most of which I consider of worse quality than my recent work. But now, a bunch of my recent uploads of my artwork, both from other people and now myself, that I consider better quality, keep getting deleted, so I have no idea what the actual criteria for not having your posts deleted is, is it quality? Name recognition? Or just whether approvers like it or not? It's genuinely a bit frustrating when all I'm trying to do is re-up some of the better illustrations from my gallery with proper tags and links, yet they keep getting deleted with 8-9 approvers all saying my work sucks. So genuinely if someone can clarify what the criteria is for artwork to not get deleted or that if artists aren't welcome on this site, let me know.

Yes, no, and yes. If an Approver isn’t particularly interested, they may skip it even if the quality is decent. But anything that is deleted can always be undeleted, so if the quality is actually good and it catches someone’s attention, it has a decent chance of being approved. Some Approvers will even browse deleted posts to find ones that fell through the cracks.

Did they actually say that, or did they just leave the boilerplate “disinterest” message? If they think it’s poor quality, they will leave a “poor quality” message instead.

As I explained to you last time, self-uploads are officially allowed, though some Approvers may still treat them with more scrutiny. This is a side effect of the freedom Approvers have to judge posts rather than any specific rule.

Understood, but the 12 approvers have given no reasons or comment as to why these posts have not been approved with no clear criteria. I'm not here to promote my own work, I started self-uploading because users were already uploading my work here, my work would show up on Google with inaccurate tags, not crediting me at times, using outdated or poor quality images, & using wrong links. I don't think I understand Danbooru's site culture then if original artists are actively discouraged from uploading their own galleries and to represent themselves properly.

Artists are not officially discouraged from uploading their own art, but that sentiment isn't necessarily shared by the entire community. Artists are not discouraged (besides the occasional rando that hasn't gotten the memo claiming otherwise) but they're also not given special treatment. As far as Danbooru cares the only difference between you and any other uploader is a single tag. Some Approvers may care about this, but I'm sure plenty don't. Approvers are free to not approve something for any reason they choose.
While you may believe your current art is superior in quality to your old art, I won't express an opinion on this, what is certainly true is that there is a considerable difference in art style between the old and new, and the newer style may not appeal as much to some Approvers as the old style did. The older stuff also primarily focused on Girls und panzer, an established and popular IP, and I can think of quite a few people that would approve that in a heartbeat.
You can also try the "Upload Feedback Thread - post here if your uploads keep getting deleted" in the forums.
Just know that approvers can be a fickle bunch. It can be quite hit or miss if something get's approved, but keep trying and you might get through. Though sometimes, the art might just not hit home with them regardless of quality. Some artists have an infamously hard time of being approved if they are put through the regular process.
Alrighty, understood. Sorry for going out of my way to address this. But to address the last two comments, much of my older work was still original work not just GuP IP work, some old original work even feature the same characters that I've redrawn recently.
And I actually commented here after posting in the Upload Feedback thread, only to be told that "self-uploads" are discouraged, and that it's a slow month which doesn't explain much in terms of criteria. The difficulty of being able to represent your own work even when you're an established artist with a booru gallery, is a bit discouraging, but that's okay. Understood going forwards.
