Her associated weather is a half-hearted, depressing, drizzly rain. Komachi tells her what that says about the ghost she'll become (the kind of person she is).

I think all that time Marisa spends alone, studying her heart out, are her private black times of depression. But because she's a fighter, she puts on a bright and cheerful facade around others. It's not just an act though, but a conscious effort to be the kind of person she wants to be.

Looking at Suika's words to Marisa, after Suika has been psycho-analyzing everyone else, I think the oni's words refer to the same conclusion, and that Suika liked Marisa's attitude.

I said this a few pages back, but I'll repeat myself: This is *unnervingly* close to how real people act while suffering from clinical depression.

I sure hope the author isn't writing from personal experience.
