I went down the absolute conspiracy rabbit hole last night chasing ghosts of artifacts in all this artist's images. But like... then I checked their links, and they have a twitch, and a good number of VODs of them drawing for like, 6 hours at a time. there's just no AI bro in the world who would put in that kind of effort. So we can learn 2 things from this:
I'm an idiot and should have been more much more thorough before coming to a conclusion
if you go looking for artifacts you'll find them, so beware confirmation bias
It doesn't feel good to be a dumbass but I'll own this mistake. I jumped to a conclusion and was wrong. this art (and the rest of this artist's work) is definitely NOT ai gen. sorry

It's completely normal to add blur or other effects around edges, just for visual effect. This means nothing.
