Youmu why would you challenge someone who could rival youki

Next time Youmu, don't pick a fight with the man that with SHEER WILLPOWER, managed to keep his sainty in the Boundry for who knows how long, and sliced though it to get back to reality with one swing of his sword. Again, with SHEER WILLPOWER!

To grow stronger warriors must challenge themselves and face opponents stronger, faster, smarter and overall better than themselves. As such it is only natural that Youmu would go up against veritable gods of swordsmanship.

at least take the time to learn those parries from him.
