Shouldn't there be a tag, "young"? Cause base on tifa outfit. She is 12 years old during the water tower flashback before Cloud's departure to join Shinra as a SOLDIER.

You know you can edit and add that tag yourself, no? The aged down tag is incorrect in this situation, you'd want to replace it.

Why would it be incorrect? Aged down is for characters that appear younger than they usually do. Tifa is primarily depicted as an adult. A handful of canon flashback appearances of her younger self isn't enough to disqualify it for the tag.

Aren't aged down specifically used for characters for non-canon younger appearances, just like aged up designs are mostly non-canon? *Edit: wait, I confused it with de-aged.

It's been determined in the past that tags like aged down are "artistic license" tags, and should generally be limited to unofficial depictions of characters. Always been a really iffy thing, to me, but technically there is an argument for the tag not being correct here, as this is specifically a depiction of a canon younger version of Tifa, and not simply Tifa being depicted as younger than normal.

The only thing I can see that hints at this is the discussion in topic #21947. I couldn’t find any other mention of the tags not being supposed to be used this way anywhere else. And despite the claim that the wikis imply that they are only for non-canon appearances, they have only ever mentioned the characters being a different age than their “usual appearance” as far as I can tell.
If this were Son Goku from Dragon Ball (Classic), it would make sense to not use the tag since he’s had multiple story arcs from when he was a kid, so that could be considered one of his usual appearances. But if a character only appears as a kid in a couple flashbacks, I would not consider that to be a usual appearance. It would be very difficult to search for these depictions if the tag can’t be used for any canon appearance, even if the character was only shown like that for one scene.
Regardless, since this is a canon version of the character, she should probably get her own tag. If aged down really doesn’t apply here, there still needs to be a way for users to search for this version.
