  • Ubel color practice

I did some practice on a coloring style i've been wanting to adopt for some time but i never have time to get better at. I've always wanted to do coloring using mass of black and little to no cell shading because honestly coloring is the part of drawings i'm not a fan of and i can't do too well XD

I have enough of an identity as a cartoonist and lineart artist precisely using mass of black, but that doesn't translate well to color unless you have a very specific coloring style, so i've always kinda do some anime cell shading style the best i can, which not always works right. I would like to develop this style but it comes with it's own set of challenges. Many drawings don't allow for a lot of logical ink shadowing; like naked bodies for examples; and the background always looks like middle of a summer day XD.

My goal would be to practice this more and slowly change my commission examples to this style so people know what to expect. But i would also like to know the opinion of those who already follow me with my usual coloring style. What do you think?
