I can sympathize with both Cirno and Daiyousei.

For Cirno, revenge is one sweetest hellish payback after being ridiculed for so long, although that means burning everything behind.

For Daiyousei, those uncommon case of lover/loyalty betrayal where one party do everything to show her pain toward the other.

I've got the firm impression that ABSOLUTE NUKLEAR POWAH has a tendency to make people go nuts before getting bitchslapped back to sense. It happened to Okuu, it should happen to Dai.

It didn't help that Daiyousei had a childish attachment to Cirno (which Cirno remarked on when she reappared in the comic "Still small as always on the inside" ; Okuu was similarly immature.
