Its essentially Qan-T fused with ELS. So that's something godly mixed with more broken. It's probably way too powerful.

Seriously, this is not a Gundam. Its design is off and its power crossed over the border of super robot. The movie is a complete waste of time simply seing reused materials from Fafner.

Teleporting Gundam and human merging with alien is just absurd.

It's definitely a Gundam. It's as much Gundam as God Gundam or Turn A. Regardless of what their opinion is, fans don't dictate what defines a Gundam.

I love how people bitch about this, but ignore the Turn A which is even more overpowered.

Seriously, you should learn to work out the reason. Turn A's power is ridiculous, Quanta's teleporting is even more ridiculous.

But when you compare both story, Turn A win hands down, 00 movie is a reuse crap from Fafner. Seriously, how does regenerating alien with no brain whatsoever even appear in Gundam.

They don't dictate, they understand what original Gundam is, and I'm talking about old fan, not teenager fan. And I firmly believe that it is not Bandai, not even Sunrise or Mizushima that defines what Gundam is, it is Tomino.

Haters gonna hate. Gundam is and always was a marketing ploy for sales of model kits. Any fan, old or new, that truly doesn't understand that simple fact is in denial.

Also Tomino's work is decent but overrated.

The one who does not understand things is you sir. Gundam has not been a marketing plot for Gunpla kits until Bandai actually bought Sunrise, just before G gundam starts, just for you to see what actually happenned to G Gundam. And I didn't remember Tomino intended to do Gundam so that Bandai could makes models out of it, it was a consequence of Gundam being famous later on.

Tomino works are decent,but some are very good. Anyway he is the father of Gundam ,if you will. And just flat out announcing all of those are "decent" is biased.

I know haters gonna hate the truth but at least, please try to learn how to rate Gundam series correctly in an objective manner.

Er...just some fyi, but some people like Fafnir of the Azure. Though as far as introducing aliens goes, I have a hard time thinking of something that hasn't been done by some show (admittedly, I'm including western aliens as well).

True, Alien is one of the core seperation line between Gundam and Super Robot. I mean, seriously, it is easy to do alien and makes them the antagonist of the series because you don't need them to have any sense but that's just poor writing. As for Fafner, it is good but that's its own story, don't go and copy it. Unless you can make something far more superior, don't copy an existing product. The movie was inferior to Fafner by the fact that it copy the ideas and has less time to have any decent character development.

Even during MSG's time, there was a drive to sell toys, hence the Gundam's colors (If Tomino had his way, it'd be grayish), but Tomino's intent was to make a more realistic mecha series and is infamous for resisting Bandai/Sunrise's orders.

True, RX 78 - 1 was supposed to be the "gundam" that Tomino wants obviously due to its dark colors. I mean it makes sense since the Gundam is supposed to be a weapon to use in space, the grey and black color would be a great camoflage.
You wouldn't be expecting a glowing red weapon to fly out to a real battlefield, which is literally equals to screaming "here I am, shoot me please."

The gray/blue colors of the G-3 was also a reference to realistic colors.
