    山口多聞

Yamaguchi Tamon (17 August 1892 – 4 June 1942) was a rear admiral in the Imperial Japanese Navy in World War II and an alumnus of Princeton University (1921–1923).

He is best known as the last commanding officer of aircraft carrier Hiryuu and the Second Carrier Division in the battle of Midway and many of her Kantai Collection incarnation's lines make reference to him. Also appears in the manga/anime series Drifters.
