A Stevenson screen, sometimes referred to as an instrument shelter, is a shelter placed on exposed weather equipment to protect the instruments from the elements.

The most common model is a free-standing box design with a slanted roof, though other designs exist. They also have rows of slats on the sides called louvers which are designed to allow air to pass through, similar to the slats on window blinds.
