They have been enemies of the Zentradi for millenia and are at the service of the Protodeviln.
The original Supervision Army was created by the Protodeviln by using brainwashed humanoid aliens like Zentradi and Meltrandi maclone giants, as well as Protoculture miclone normal sized individuals.
The SDF-1 Macross space fortress from Choujikuu Yousai Macross 80s TV series was originally a Supervision Army spacecraft.
In the Macross 7 90s TV series a new Supervision Army called the Varauta Army was created by the re-awakened Protodeviln to fight the Macross 7 fleet. This new hostile space army was composed of brainwashed Humans and Zentradi from the New U.N. Spacy.
