balteus (armored core vi)
AAP07: BALTEUS
An enemy boss unit that appears in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, an autonomous craft used by the Planetary Closure Administration's forces. Balteus is made up of a large mobile platform, a horizontal ring, and an MT attached to the middle serving as the control centre. The large platform provides high speed flight, hover, all-direction Pulse Armor projection, the horizontal ring serves as an attachment rail system for armaments such as 156 missile launchers and transformable flame throwers that also act as flame swords, the MT chassis itself also carries a dual-gatling gun and a multi-barrelled scatter gun.
Balteus is heavily armed, armoured and incredibly agile for its size.
It is later on developed into the 'AAP07A: Arquebus Balteus'.
As a boss, especially prior to its nerf, the base Balteus was notorious as the end-boss of Chapter 1 for its difficulty.
