cake stand
A tall, pedestal-like plate used for displaying cakes, especially in a bakery's storefront or for weddings. Some cake stands have a glass dome for protecting the cake.
Not to be confused with a tiered tray; a cake stand only has one level, while a tiered tray has multiple levels.
