durin (real) (genshin impact)
A character from Genshin Impact, he was a dragon created by the alchemist Rhinedottir and she classified him as "Humus". She considered him as one of her masterpieces along with Albedo.
Around 500 years ago, he invaded Mondstadt during the Cataclysm and caused massive devastation. With no one capable of defending the nation, Barbatos was awoken to the pleas of his people and fought against him together with Dvalin.
Durin was eventually killed and sent plummeting to an area in Dragonspine now known as Wyrmrest Valley where his remains lie to this day. His corpse spread his life energy throughout the valley and caused the formation of Crimson Agate and Scarlet Quartz. Durin's blood was very toxic and contained power from the Abyss. After the battle, Dvalin was put into a deep sleep in Decarabian's Tower for ingesting his blood and was one of the catalysts to Dvalin becoming "Stormterror".
He is often depicted in canon as a black skeletal dragon with glowing red eyes.
Not to be confused with Mini Durin who appears as either a small dragon or a dragon boy. He is an alternate counterpart created by the Hexenzirkel who was later granted a human form by Albedo.
