engineering nonsense
A depiction of machines, vehicles, weaponry, etc. that clearly defies common sense for comedic effect. Like anatomical nonsense, but for engineering.
This does not apply to simply impractically large fictional weapons; it represents an intentional and exaggerated disregard for both actual physics and science fiction conventions.
For badly drawn vehicles that are results of artistic errors, use bad vehicle anatomy instead.
