goombrat
A Goomba-like enemy from the Mario series that first appeared in New Super Mario Bros. U. Like Goombas, they will chase the player upon sighting them and can be defeated in the same manner, usually by stomping on them. However, Goombrats turn when they reach a ledge instead of falling off.
Goombrats are depicted with a very similar appearance to a Goomba, though they resemble a persimmon rather than a mushroom. They also have a scowl instead of eyebrows and two large fangs.
