gouketsuji otane

One of the characters of the Gouketsuji Ichizoku series.

Otane Gouketsuji is the twin sister of Oume Gouketsuji, but unlike her, she is generally friendlier in contrast to her sister, though she still has a very competitive spirit. She is able to transform into a youthful version of herself for a short time by draining one's life force, a technique she shares with her sister.

In her childhood, Otane was bullied constantly by Oume, and ran away from home to train in the mountains for when she can win the seat of clan leader and get her revenge on her sister. They do not get along with each other and often rival each other for the leadership. Unlike her sister, who simply desires power, Otane fights so that she can have happiness in her life.

In official artwork after the first game, the identities of the twins are never made clear. Further adding confusion, the colors of their clothes were switched around after Shin Gouketsuji Ichizoku: Toukon Matrimelee, as previously, Otane wore purple and yellow. It was later changed to green and purple, which was Oume's previous color scheme.
