leaf flute

草笛 樹葉笛

A leaf used as an instrument when the player places it in direct contact with both their lower and upper lips and blows air across it. Not all leaves can produce a sound as it requires the correct rigidity, flexibility and thickness, as well as being shaped and placed accurately.

A leaf flute can be recognized when a character holds a leaf horizontally near their mouth.
