A specific brand of toy blocks invented by Ole Kirk Christansen back in 1932. The name comes from the Danish phrase leg godt, meaning "play well". The blocks are shaped like bricks that can interlock with each other via small plates on the top and equally-sized holes in the base, and can be accompanied with minifigs, gears and other parts. They also have a somewhat memetic reputation of being excruciatingly painful to step on.
