linear hatching

Drawing lines (parallel or not) with the purpose of darkening areas of an image. The lines must not intersect, otherwise it's crosshatching

Note that this tag is not mutually exclusive with other subtypes of hatching, an artist may use woven hatching or crosshatching as well.
