The captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and main protagonist of One Piece. A young eccentric pirate whose dream is to obtain Gol D. Roger's legendary treasure and become the next Pirate King.

He possesses the powers of the Gomu Gomu no Mi Devil Fruit (sometimes called Gum-Gum Fruit in English translations), which makes his entire body stretchable in limitless ways.
