Super Metroid

A boss in Super Metroid and Metroid: Other M. It is a monstrous ghost-like extraterrestrial that can phase in and out of existence interdimensionally. It lurked within an ancient Chozo spaceship that crash landed on Planet Zebes, implying that spaceship to be the current Wrecked Ship where it resides and the cause of its crash.
It's body is similar to that of a cephalopod that has a single eyeball inside it's mouth full of sharp teeth and two tentacles outstretched on each side. It's attacks foes with blue fireballs that resemble hitodamas and can summon a legion of creepy disembodied hands that are also single eyed. According to Phantoon's concept art in Metroid: Other M, the creature seen in the material world is only it's head, and the rest of it's body is in another dimension [1].
It's lore in Super Metroid is contradictory between the Japanese and English manuals. In English it's a being that only taps into Mother Brain's brainwaves to feed off it, while in Japanese it is Mother Brain's consciousness itself manifested.
