rumpelstiltskin (fairy tale)
A famous fairy tale recounts the story of a miller's daughter who is made to spin straw into gold or else be executed by the king. She does so with the aid of an imp named Rumpelstiltskin, who demands payment for his services. After the king marries her, Rumpelstiltskin comes to collect the queen's first born child as payment. The imp finally agrees to relinquish the debt if she could guess the imp's name within three days. After two days without success, the girl follows the imp home where she overhears the imp singing his name to himself.
