スパイダーマッ スパイダーマッ! 東映版スパイダーマン 東映スパイダーマン supaidaman
A 1978 live-action tokusatsu show loosely based on the Spider-Man series, produced by Toei Company, Ltd, following in the vein of Kamen Rider and the Ishinomori Super Sentai seasons. The series follows a man named Yamashiro Takuya, who transforms into the titular "Emissary from Hell" to fight villains with his mecha Leopardon.
Toei would later reuse the concept of heroes and mecha for Super Sentai series that would follow this show, starting with Battle Fever J, also co-produced with Marvel (along with Denshi Sentai Denziman and Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan after).
This series' version of Spider-Man made an appearance in the Spider-Verse comic events, and is slated to appear in the sequel to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. In his appearance in 2025's Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse #3, he would receive a brand new Ishinomori-inspired design. He's also frequently referred to by Western fans as Supaidaman.
