tacet discord (wuthering waves)

Tacet Discords (TDs) are the non-human enemy species of Wuthering Waves. They are sentient beings formed by chaotic frequency energy that are designed to feed on other frequencies to stabilise and evolve. TDs used by resonators or human civilisations such as Rinascita are alternatively called Echoes to differentiate them from their hostile counterparts.

There are four ranks of Tacet Discords: Calamity, Overlord, Elite and Common. They also possess different classifications based on the frequencies they primarily consume: Whisperin (human-shaped bodies), Howler (flora and fauna), Tranquilite (earth and other inorganic matter such as rocks and crystal formations), Staticoid (parasitic upon man-made objects) and Clamorlings (unknown classification to date).

Lord above all Tacet Discords are Threnodians who seek to destroy civilisations, who are the direct counterparts of Sentinels who guide civilisations.
