American TV action drama series produced by NBC Television and broadcast from 1983 to 1987. This extremely popular TV series was remade into a film in 2010.

Japanese history
It was also televised in Japan from 1985 with the title 特攻野郎Aチーム ("Tokkou Yarou A-Team" lit. "Special Attack Bastards A-Team"). In the Japanese dubbed version, Bosco Albert Baracus's nickname was changed from "B.A." to "Kong", H. M. Murdock's from "Howling Mad" to "Crazy Monkey" and Amy Amanda Allen's from "Triple A" to "Angel".
The popularity of this series in Japan was due not only to its content and the good quality of the dubbing, but also to the self-introductory voiceovers by each member of the team, which were added to the opening sequence. These opening lines are so famous that if you were to do a search with those Japanese keywords, you would be able to find an endless number of parodies on the web.
We were members of a special attack force, well known in Vietnam. We were arrested by the authorities under false accusations but we managed to escape from prison and went underground. However, we were not the type of people to simply fester underground.
