the mist (stephen king)
A 1980 science fiction psychological horror novel written by Stephen King. It follows protagonist David Drayton after his town is shrouded in a dense mist that conceals otherworldy creatures. He takes refuge inside a supermarket where he must survive against not only creatures, but other survivors as well. Was later adapted into a movie in 2007 and a TV series in 2017.
