vf-11

A transformable mecha from the MACROSS universe that appeared in the Macross Plus OVA, the Macross 7 TV series and the Macross VF-X, Macross VF-X2 and Macross M3 videogames.

The VF-11 Thunderbolt was the main U.N. Spacy variable fighter during the events of Macross Plus and Macross 7. It is similar to the VF-0 Phoenix from Macross Zero and the original VF-1 Valkyrie from Choujikuu Yousai Macross, but has a more advanced airframe and canards for better maneuverability inside an atmosphere. It was succeeded by the VF-171 Nightmare Plus.

In real life the VF-11 was designed by Kawamori Shouji in the 90s.
