    Is there really a point to using genderswap tags on unnamed original characters, when we never get to see the non-gender-bent version for comparison? Would anyone searching for the tag want this in their search results?

    There are other characters like Cagliostro and Mai Natsume who are canonically gender-bent but generally aren't tagged that way because they're only ever depicted as their altered selves. How is this any different?

    To be fair, in this case there is art of the character as a male. There are more than a few posts of him; Seems like his name is Ed.

    I do still think it's debatable how useful genderswap is on OCs, since most users are probably looking for more established characters, not random original characters.

    I would imagine that there are users who are interested in using the tag to find before-and-after images like post #6351435 or obvious post-transformation scenes like post #555683, so I'm not calling for a blanket ban on tagging OCs this way. I just don't see the point of it on images like this one.
