Wish the approvers weren't so uptight, this is such a humorous piece. I get that yall have to uphold a standard of quality, but to call it "garbage" really makes it seem like you hate fun.

I know right, seams like anyone who is not in their little circle cannot contribute anything. Meanwhile, from what I saw using tags, they approved some art of FAR lower quality to this. Uploaders often being the "contributers", "builders", "platinums" and so on . This is a nice drawing :)

Uploads from contributers and builders essentially skips the approving verification, and yes it's a recurring problem here. Platinums doesn't have that lenience, though.

Only uploads from Contributers and above can skip the approval process. Builder/Gold/Platinum are still subject to the same queue restrictions as Member level users.

If you genuinely believe that some artwork is egregiously poor quality, then use the Flag feature, that's what it is for.

Also just going to be honest here, this artwork is not very good by Danbooru standards, and approvers do seem to agree with that.

More importantly, it gives off the impression that we upload artist’s lower quality work here just to insult or make fun of it. It is important to remember that many artists with “garbage” works had no intention of uploading their stuff here. They did not ask for this.

It is not difficult to simply say the work does not meet our quality standards. Sure, some artists will still feel insulted, but that doesn’t mean we should throw basic politeness out the window.

And I’m excluding the obvious troll uploads that are just poorly edited screenshots and low-effort memes. Those obviously did not have any artistic effort put into them.
