Her IRL meowfficer. George was rescued from the water and lived on the USS North Carolina in 1944.

For those who don't know, George was rescued off Noumea/New Caledonia by Carol's real-life comrade Edward F. Cope and actually had a US Navy record and the whole nine yards.
